The CTL Difference

Technology Buyers Don't Need More Sales Pitches

Technology leaders are surrounded by vendor messaging: emails, ads, cold outreach, events and demos. But visibility alone doesn't create trust.

CTL takes a different approach. We create an environment where providers and technology leaders take part in meaningful conversations about emerging technologies, business challenges and practical solutions.

Sponsors are invited to contribute knowledge, not simply promote products. Education before promotion. Relationships before transactions.

Instead of Campaign → Lead → Sales Call, CTL helps create Education → Engagement → Familiarity → Trust → Conversation → Opportunity.

Why Community-Based Marketing?

Technology decisions begin long before an RFP or a sales conversation.

Be There Before the Buying Cycle

Establish awareness before an active evaluation begins.

Demonstrate Real Expertise

Show your knowledge of the problems your solutions address.

Educate Without the Hard Sell

Create multiple points of engagement over time.

Put Your Experts in the Room

Put your subject-matter experts in front of relevant audiences.

Build Familiarity

Become a known, trusted name before anyone asks for a proposal.

More than a logo placement: an ongoing community presence. What you can do depends on your sponsorship level.

The CTL Difference

You Don't Have to Navigate the Community Alone

A sponsorship works better when someone helps you understand the community. CTL sponsors work with a CTL advisor who connects your expertise and goals with the right community opportunities.

The goal isn't just to give sponsors a platform. It's to help sponsors participate successfully.

Your CTL advisor helps you:

  • Understand the community
  • Identify topics likely to give members real value
  • Plan useful thought-leadership activities
  • Coordinate content and programming
  • Find the right opportunities to engage
  • Keep momentum going throughout your sponsorship

Built for Your Entire Go-to-Market Team

Different stakeholders evaluate sponsorship differently.

For Marketing Leaders

Another channel for brand visibility, thought leadership and content distribution, with an ongoing presence around topics you own instead of one-off campaign impressions.

For Sales & Business Development

Relationships that begin with education and engagement rather than unsolicited outreach. The aim is familiarity, and better conversations when interest exists.

For Product & Technology Leaders

A platform for your experts to discuss technologies, market changes, implementation considerations and trends with practitioners and decision-makers.

For Executive Leadership

Support your market positioning by taking part, visibly, in the industry conversations that matter.

For Procurement & Finance

A defined plan with documented deliverables, responsibilities and terms. The business-case section below gives you what you need to explain the investment internally.

A Marketplace Built on Trust

Useful First. Commercial Second.

The long-term value of CTL depends on the quality of the community experience, so sponsorship comes with one expectation: bring value to the community. CTL is not a pay-to-pitch environment. Sponsors contribute insight and education. They don't solicit members.

Teach before you pitch. Contribute before you ask. Build familiarity before expecting opportunity. Create value before trying to capture value.

Our sponsorship agreement prohibits direct solicitation and unsolicited outreach to members. That protects the community, which is exactly what makes your presence here worth something.

On neutrality: MR2 Solutions provides independent, vendor-neutral technology advisory services to its clients. Sponsoring CTL does not influence MR2's advice, recommendations or evaluations in any way. The two are kept deliberately separate, and always will be.

For Your Leadership Team

Build the Internal Business Case

You may already like the concept. The real challenge is getting approval, so we have made that easier.

CTL sponsorship can be evaluated across five areas

  1. Audience AlignmentDoes CTL reach people relevant to our technology and market?
  2. Brand PresenceDoes it create meaningful visibility beyond a one-time campaign?
  3. Thought LeadershipCan our experts educate the market on issues that matter to our business?
  4. EngagementAre there opportunities for members to interact with our people and content?
  5. Program ValueAre the deliverables, terms and resources clear enough to justify the investment?

Frequently Asked Questions

A practical guide for technology providers exploring visibility, thought leadership and community engagement with CTL Network.

What is CTL Network?
CTL Network is a curated professional community and technology marketplace connecting IT leaders, practitioners and technology providers. Members exchange ideas, explore industry trends, learn from peers and discover solutions through educational content, digital resources, and virtual and in-person experiences.
Who is part of the community?
CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, VPs of IT, IT Directors, managers, engineers, senior practitioners and their teams, from healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, higher education, retail, professional services and other industries nationwide. The community emphasizes organizations with roughly 500 or more employees, extending into the enterprise market; targeting for individual programs may vary.
How is CTL different from advertising or a conventional event?
A single ad or event delivers one moment of attention. CTL is an ongoing setting for discovery and education, where sponsors build familiarity through relevant resources and, at the right sponsorship level, community participation. The focus is practitioner-oriented learning and trust rather than high-pressure sales pitches.
Why should our company sponsor CTL Network?
Technology decision-makers face a constant stream of vendor messages. Sponsorship is a more focused way to be discovered by the audience you want to reach, demonstrate what your experts know and build credibility over time. It complements outbound marketing, field events, partner programs and existing demand-generation investments.
What business goals can sponsorship support?
Depending on your objectives and participation: brand awareness, solution discoverability, executive visibility, thought leadership, prospect education, relationship development and demand-generation nurturing. Sponsorship creates opportunities for engagement; it does not guarantee leads, meetings, pipeline or revenue.
How does sponsorship help move prospects from MQL to SQL?
Sponsors can invite their own prospects and customers to relevant approved CTL content and experiences, then keep educating interested contacts as they evaluate solutions. That engagement can support progression from marketing-qualified to sales-qualified lead, but qualification and follow-up remain the sponsor's responsibility and must respect applicable consent and CTL member-contact rules.
What are the two sponsorship options?
Vendor Marketplace ($249/month) and Community Sponsorship ($799/month). Both provide foundational brand visibility through a dedicated vendor presence and approved content. Community Sponsorship adds privileges to host approved online events and workshops and to post approved material to designated community feeds. Specific content limits, event allocations and promotional support are set out in your sponsorship agreement.
Which level is right for us?
Choose Vendor Marketplace if your priority is a persistent branded destination where members can find your solutions and resources. Choose Community Sponsorship if you also want your experts to take an active role in educational programming, community conversations, workshops and feed participation.
Can we upgrade later?
Yes. Ask the CTL team. Any change in privileges, fees, timing or deliverables is confirmed in writing before the enhanced activities begin. Most sponsors start with Vendor Marketplace and move up once they have seen how it works.
What can we showcase in our CTL vendor presence?
Subject to approval and your plan, your branded presence can feature company and solution information, whitepapers, case studies, datasheets, videos, on-demand demonstrations, recorded webinars, thought-leadership articles and calls to action, so members can explore at their own pace.
Can our executives and subject-matter experts participate?
Yes. CTL's educational approach suits executive insights, practitioner perspectives, industry trends, lessons learned and real-world use cases. Participation formats and production support depend on your sponsorship level and agreed program.
What are CTL Ambassadors, and can we collaborate with them?
CTL Ambassadors are experienced technology leaders and community influencers who bring practitioner perspectives to relevant conversations. Where included and approved, sponsors may take part in moderated thought-leadership discussions or events involving an Ambassador. Ambassador participation, availability and endorsements are not automatic sponsorship entitlements.
Can we promote our own events or invite our existing audience?
Yes. Sponsors may direct their own audiences to approved CTL resources and experiences, and may explore cross-promotion with CTL or MR2 Solutions. Promotion within CTL channels and use of community access depend on your sponsorship level, program approvals and applicable member-contact policies.
What kinds of events does the CTL ecosystem offer?
Depending on the current calendar and separate sponsorship arrangements: tech webinars, executive-led fireside chats, in-person lunch-and-learns, executive roundtables, happy hours and special networking events. Participation, audience targets, fees and deliverables are confirmed for each program.
Can every sponsor host webinars, workshops or post to community feeds?
No. Those active community privileges are reserved for Community Sponsors and remain subject to CTL approval, scheduling, editorial standards and available capacity. Vendor Marketplace sponsors receive marketplace visibility but do not independently host CTL online events or workshops or post to community feeds.
Will we receive attendee or member contact information?
Sponsorship does not provide unrestricted access to member lists. Where an event or program offers post-event attendee information, any sharing is subject to the applicable event terms, privacy requirements, consent and CTL policies. No sponsor should assume that participation authorizes unsolicited outreach.
How long does sponsorship last, and can we cancel?
Both plans are month to month. There is no long-term contract, and you can cancel any time. Event sponsorships are separate and are agreed per event.
How much does sponsorship cost?
Vendor Marketplace is $249 per month and Community Sponsorship is $799 per month, both month to month. Separately priced event opportunities are also available; ask us for the current options.
What is expected of a sponsoring vendor?
Accurate, useful, relevant information, and following CTL's community-first standards. Content and participation should educate and help members make informed decisions. Aggressive solicitation, spam, misleading claims and unauthorized member outreach are inconsistent with the program's intent.
How soon will we be live?
Within 30 days of signing up, usually sooner. It depends mostly on how quickly you can get us your brand assets and first piece of content.
What do you need from us?
A named contact, your brand assets and content you are willing to share. If you have people who can speak on a webinar or a podcast, better still. If you do not have content ready, tell us and we can help.
Can you invoice us instead of a card payment?
Yes. Use the form on this page and we will set that up.
Does sponsoring influence MR2's recommendations?
No. MR2's advisory work is independent and vendor-neutral, and sponsorship has no bearing on it. That separation is deliberate. It is the reason the community is worth being part of.
How do we get started?
Choose a plan and check out online, or start a sponsorship conversation using the form on this page. We will walk you through the community experience, show how a branded vendor presence works, compare the two levels and agree a participation plan aligned to your audience and marketing objectives.
